Setting
White Star: A Dog on the Titanic takes place on the Titanic in 1912. The Titanic floated along the Atlantic Ocean in April. Some of the passengers got aboard in England, like Sam, to travel to the United States. But soon before they docked in New York City they hit the ice burg that cut their voyage short. Some of the survivors still made it to New York. But the others were left out in the Atlantic Ocean

Problem

The problem started when the Titanc hit an iceburg. Star and Sam were in the water as the Titanic was sinking. They saw a light and tryed to swim toward it. Some of the people on the rescue boat didn't want to let Star on. One of the the girls on the boat tryed to pull Star up boat but his tail got stuck in a ring on the side of the life boat and he got hurt.

Point of View

The story is told from Sam a middle class boy with his friend on the TITANIC.

Plot

First,

Climax

The climax started when the Titanic started to sink after hitting the iceberg. Sam was scared, but he wasn't going to leave without his favorite dog on the ship, Star. When he got back, there wasn't a place for him on the lifeboats, so he had to jump overboard into the cold water with Star. They caught up with lifeboat 4 on the way to land, and they sailed to another ship that was sailing with the Titanic. They got to land with all the others after that.

Resolution

The first part of the problem was resolved when the lady let Sam onto the boat and then they got the dog up. After that they got him up they fixed his paw. The second part problem was resolved when Star and Sam got to shore and met up with Sam’s mom. Sam was going to return the dog that saved his life back to his owner, but since he thought that Sam saved the dogs life, he gave Star to Sam to keep. He also didn't want to look bad in front of the news reporters by taking the dog because it would hake him look selfish. Sam went back to his mother and stepfather’s house, and he lived with them…well…as long as I know, they were together in the end of the story.

Author's Message

I think that the author's message to us is to not give up our dreams or what we really like. The author probably wanted us to believe that we can do whatever we want to do and that we shouldn't just give up something that we like just because we are frightened of something.I also think the authors message is to never forget the ones you love , but you can never forget who is with you now.
