Zara is the oldest and she always tries to help and make everything seem okay. Zara is very brave because she drove when Ben and Sam were working with the sails, knowing that if she didn’t do something right they could all die must have been scary.

Ben is the smart one on the trip. He always seems to know which ways to turn and what direction they should go in. He also had the chocolate when they needed it so he also is prepared. Zara described him as a "living globe".

Sam knows a lot about the things they should do. Without him there they probably would have died. Sam thought of the sails and knew how to work them.

Professor Murdo is one of the "Seven Professors of the Far North". But he is not happy, and kind like the other six. when the professors first got the call Nordbergen Professor Murdo wouldn't tell any one what he was reseaching there. Professor Murdo first did a test on a woman's helpless baby that he stole! Also, Professor Murdo is coming back...more powerful than he was before!

Marcia Slick: A daughter of models Alicia and Marcus Slick. She loves football. Her parents want her to be a perfect daughter. They get involved in Nordbergen Research Enterprises and go to prison for doing things to their daughter. She does not want to change her personality or her looks. She loves her life without her parents who are the exact opposite of Marcia. Marcia is really brave because she snuck out of her room in Nordbergen. Marcia is also smart because she figured out that she was being drugged.

Marcus and Alicia Slick: They are Marcia’s parents. They are a pair of models who dream of their daughter being perfect. They get involved in an illegal and sinister plot to have surgery on Marcia. They think everything has to be perfect. They are very selfish because everything they have has to be perfect.

Netchek: He works at Bjorn’s Bar until he helps Zara, Sam, and Ben. He helps them get to Nordbergen with the help of his girlfriend Nika. He likes the idea of helping them to get to Nordbegen to rescue the six professors. He is also brave because he helps Zara, Sam, and Ben get to Nordbergen.

Nika: She helps Zara, Sam, and Ben to get to Nordbergan from Petroya. She has a submarine, which helps them to get to Norbergen. She is missing an arm but she still likes to drive things. She also is brave because she gets them to Nordbergen by driving her submarine.

Setting

The Seven Professors of the Far North takes place in the far north around the Arctic. The exact place is called Nordbergen, where Professor Murdo has his secret headquarters. His building is shaped like a human man, which is probably a symbol of the job he does...human cloning!

Problem

The problem started when the six professors were kidnapped by evil Professor Murdo and his evil crew. When Murdo's evil crew attacks the house of Professor Ampersand, Zara, Sam, and Ben have to travel to Norbergen to rescue them.

Point of View

The story is told from the author's point of view. He switches from all of the characters describing their feelings and their plans.

Plot

Zara, Ben, and Sam are taken on a journey to save Zara and Ben's uncle after him and 5 professors are kidnapped by Professor Murdo, wanting revenge taken on them. They meet up with a few people that help them in the process, and in the end, Professor Murdo and his workers at a cloning factory are sent to jail, and the 6 professors are saved from being killed by Murdo.

Climax

The climax starts when Zara, Ben, and Sam see the six professors get kidnapped by Murdo's men. They take them to a place in the arctic called Nordbergen. Zara, Ben, and Sam need to go after and rescue them. But how?

Resolution

The problem was resolved when Zara, Ben and Sam save the six professors. Also have made a few friends along the way. Including Marcia, Adam, Yuri, Frank, Nika, Netchek and the six other professors (professors Gauntraker, Sharp, Gadling, Hartleigh-Broadbeam, and Pottle). The "orphans" ( Marcia and Adam) in the story stay with some of the proffesors and the regular characters return to home. Like always, the story ended with everybody happy, except, of course, the "bad guys".

Author's Message

The lesson of this story is that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. You don't need to be an adult to do special things. The lesson is also friendship is important.Would you really betray your friends like proffeser Murdo?
